Senior Security Engineer (Cloud)

Senior Security Engineer (Cloud/AppSec): Securing hirify.global's customers, code, and infrastructure with an accent on application and platform security. Focus on maturing the security review program, managing vulnerabilities, and implementing secure-by-design principles for agentic AI products.

Location: Hybrid. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays are set as in-office anchor days.

Salary: $200,000 – $295,000 CAD

What you will do

• Own and mature hirify.global's security review program, covering secure code, architecture reviews, and threat modeling.
• Influence vulnerability management practices, including triage, remediation, and managing the bug bounty program.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed secure-by-design principles and integrate security tooling into CI/CD workflows.
• Validate and reproduce application and infrastructure security findings through scanning and manual testing.
• Evaluate and respond to emerging threats related to cloud environments and agentic AI product features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience designing and securing complex applications and large-scale distributed cloud systems.
• Direct experience with security reviews, SDLC practices, secure CI/CD, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in reviewing Python, TypeScript, Go, or Rust applications.
• Familiarity with distributed cloud technology (AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform) and associated security (IAM, networking).
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborative problem solving.
