Global Mobility & Onboarding Specialist

Location: On-site in Vienna, Austria; the offer also states on-site work in Barcelona

Salary: €65,000–€80,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own the onboarding journey from pre-boarding through the first 90 days, including welcome kits, buddies and team playbooks.
• Act as the primary contact for new joiners, answer questions and run onboarding sessions on tools and ways of working.
• Coordinate with People Ops, IT, hiring managers and department leads to ensure access, equipment, paperwork and engaging sessions are ready on day one.
• Track onboarding progress, follow up on open items and maintain accurate documentation, employee records and system access.
• Manage international relocations end-to-end, including visas, work permits, residence and local registrations, social security, bank accounts and housing.
• Improve onboarding through feedback, metrics, automation and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in onboarding, employee experience or global mobility.
• Hands-on experience relocating employees across multiple EU and non-EU countries.
• Knowledge of international immigration for the EU, UK and US, as well as expat taxation.
• Ability to manage tax residency, double taxation, social security coordination and local expat tax regimes with external advisors.
• AI and automation/workflow skills.
• Strong English skills.
• People-first, low-ego approach and ability to work under intensity.
