Head of Legal - US (Fintech)

Location: New York City, United States; on-site. Candidates must be based in New York or willing to relocate.

Annual US base salary: $200,000–$300,000, plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global is building a modern correspondent bank by combining a national bank charter with its proprietary Marble core banking system, with operations in Europe and a growing U.S. team.

What you will do

• Own the U.S. legal backbone, including product development, strategy, board governance, and regulatory engagement.
• Advise on product development and sales practices.
• Lead M&A, strategic investments, and partnerships from diligence through closing.
• Manage board and shareholder meetings, resolutions, consents, bylaws, charter matters, and corporate records.
• Lead financings end to end, from term sheet to closing.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Finance, People, founders, and the Global Chief Legal and Risk Officer.

Requirements

• J.D. and admission to a U.S. state bar; New York admission preferred.
• 5+ years of corporate legal experience, including experience at a leading law firm in emerging companies/VC, M&A, or capital markets and at least 2 years in-house at a startup.
• Hands-on experience with venture financings, equity plans, and corporate governance.
• Based in New York or willing to relocate.
• Ability to operate independently without relying on a partner, associate team, or precedent bank.
• Willingness to cover a broad corporate legal scope rather than remain a pure deal lawyer.
