Senior LNG Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Greater London, United Kingdom; based at the Park House office with on-site presence required 3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex platform enhancements and technology improvements for the LNG trading business.
• Own technical solutions from design through deployment and production support.
• Drive engineering best practices across code quality, testing, supportability, resilience, automation, observability and DevOps.
• Support complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with Product, Business Analysis and Architecture teams to translate commercial requirements into scalable technology outcomes.
• Shape platform strategy and technical decisions while reducing technical debt and mentoring engineers through guidance, knowledge sharing and code reviews.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience developing enterprise applications with C#/.NET.
• Expertise in designing and delivering APIs, integrations, distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, scalability, resilience and security principles.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, including troubleshooting, optimisation and production support.
• Experience in modern DevOps environments, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Track record of leading complex technical initiatives in business-critical technology environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Previous experience mentoring and supporting engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy trading, LNG, commodities, ETRM/CTRM or related trading environments.
• Experience with EOS, Endur or other energy trading platform technologies.
• Knowledge of scheduling, logistics, settlements, valuation or cargo management systems.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor or similar technologies.
