.NET Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with attendance at the Bexhill or Leicester office at least once per week and at quarterly departmental events; applicants must live within a 90-minute commute of one of these offices.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability applications using C# and .NET.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate across the technology landscape.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, business, and Platform teams to deliver technical solutions.
• Apply agile development, automation-first principles, and sound engineering practices while sharing knowledge.
• Help ensure infrastructure and data pipelines support .NET and AI workloads.
• Explore opportunities to integrate emerging AI technologies into systems and processes.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET, including current LTS .NET Core versions.
• Proven experience building backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Good understanding of cloud technologies, containers, and Azure services.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing.
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional engineering teams, with strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Genuine interest in AI technologies and emerging AI engineering practices, plus hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to learning new technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with xUnit and Moq.
• Knowledge of responsible AI or data privacy.
• Experience in regulated environments.
