Developer - Finance Technology (.NET)

Location: Hybrid role based from the hirify.global Head Office in Leicestershire, Leicester, United Kingdom.

Salary: From £42,124 per year.

What you will do

• Develop clean, maintainable software from user stories, including greenfield applications, microservices enhancements, and platform refactoring.
• Build scalable APIs, microservices, and ETL pipelines using Azure services across cloud-based and legacy environments.
• Apply Agile and Technical Delivery Life Cycle practices, including testing, security, compliance, and acceptance criteria.
• Estimate component-level effort, support sprint planning, and collaborate with Product Owners to clarify needs and create reusable, cost-effective solutions.
• Write unit test plans, support change management governance, and participate in an out-of-hours incident call-out rota.
• Share technical knowledge across squads and contribute to continuous engineering improvement.

Requirements

• Practical experience developing applications with C# and the .NET framework.
• Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Sound understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and software design patterns.
• Solid practical knowledge of relational databases, particularly MS-SQL, including schema design and querying.
• Experience with or an interest in front-end development, especially Blazor.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Experience participating in Scrum or Kanban ceremonies and contributing constructively in team settings.
• Clear communication skills, effective collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues, and a thoughtful approach to resolving complex issues.
