Service Operations Engineer (IoT Connectivity)

What you will do

• Manage daily operations, customer cases, incident management, and ITIL processes.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues involving visited operators, customer cellular connectivity, and international roaming.
• Monitor connectivity services and analyze and optimize network performance.
• Lead technical investigations with supervision, diagnose faults across IoT applications, and coordinate resolutions with Product, Support, and Engineering teams.
• Prepare customer-facing guides and technical reports while maintaining core network availability, integrity, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience supporting and maintaining telecom systems such as HSS, STP, DRA, and PGW.
• Knowledge of wireless communications, preferably international cellular roaming; previous roaming or IREG engineering experience is advantageous.
• Experience with Wireshark and Grafana, including reading traces and call flows.
• Proficiency in GSM, SS7, SIGTRAN, IP networking, Diameter, and GTP.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, router-access tools, scripting or automation, and log-searching applications.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, and Kubernetes, plus cloud-native Packet Core solutions.
• Familiarity with 3GPP, ETSI, GSMA, ISO, and relevant industry best practices.
• Project management, time management, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to absorb technical knowledge and apply it to support tasks.
• Ability to work daytime, nighttime, and weekend shifts.
