Senior Engineer, Kubernetes Infrastructure (Kubernetes)

Location: Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; or Bellevue, WA

Base salary: $153,000–$204,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tooling to provision Kubernetes control planes on bare metal.
• Build tooling and Go operators using Golang, Python, and Bash.
• Perform day-two lifecycle operations, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting for running clusters.
• Identify infrastructure gaps and implement fault-tolerant architectures.
• Optimize reliability with the Grafana ecosystem and design automated tests for build quality and stability.
• Participate in an on-call rotation every two months as a production-services point of contact.

Requirements

• Proven experience provisioning Kubernetes with kubeadm, Cluster API, Kubeception, Kubespray, or similar tools.
• Experience debugging complex Kubernetes cluster issues and performing upgrades.
• Proficiency in Golang, Bash, and Python.
• Advanced Linux OS troubleshooting skills and extensive Ansible experience.
• Advanced DevOps experience with tools such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively on shared codebases, document technical work clearly, and solve complex problems analytically.
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation supporting production services.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to controlled information.
