Cisco Network Operations Specialist (Cisco)

Location: St. Louis, MO; fully onsite five days per week. Hours: M-F, 8:00 to 4:30.

Pay rate: $25–35/hour. Medical benefits available.

What you will do

• Configure, upgrade, reset, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, cellular networking devices, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare and configure network equipment for deployment, installations, replacements, and upgrades.
• Resolve connectivity, hardware, and network issues through project requests and break/fix tickets.
• Prepare and ship configured equipment to designated locations.
• Document activities and maintain accurate ServiceNow ticket records.
• Support network infrastructure operations and assist with Ansible automation for network configuration.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant IT networking or network operations experience.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, including routers and switches.
• Understanding of network routing, switching, and connectivity.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned service requests.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Availability to work onsite five days per week.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field; not required.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCENT certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow or a similar IT ticketing system.
• Experience with network device upgrades and equipment deployment.
• Familiarity with Ansible or network automation tools.
• Experience supporting cellular networking equipment.
