Senior System Engineer

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, United States; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Maintain multi-domain Active Directory and physical and virtual Windows and Linux servers using VMware, Proxmox, and Veeam.
• Coordinate Windows desktop and server updates and security patching with ManageEngine Endpoint Central, and support patching for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS.
• Troubleshoot internal and external network access issues with network engineers and customer IT teams, including Cisco environments and YAML- and GitHub-managed configurations.
• Maintain SolarWinds and Grafana monitoring and investigate infrastructure issues.
• Partner with Security to investigate and remediate Qualys vulnerabilities.
• Administer cloud-based Jira and Confluence, provide Tier 2/3 escalation support, coordinate infrastructure projects, and cross-train IT colleagues.

Requirements

• At least five years of IT experience, including hands-on systems administration or infrastructure support.
• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently, prioritize work, and follow through as needs change.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate across offices and time zones.
• The role is primarily office-based, follows standard business hours, and may involve occasional overtime and moving equipment weighing up to 15 pounds.

Nice to have

• Microsoft or Cisco certifications.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Microsoft VPN, RSA, Intune, Windows Autopilot, Foreman, or Veeam.
