Business Analyst (Internal Systems & Data)

Location: Belfast, UK, hybrid; candidates must currently reside in Northern Ireland and have full UK Right to Work.

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience.

Established technology business undergoing steady growth, with an in-house technology team improving internal systems, processes, integrations, automation, and data capabilities.

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders across departments to understand needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Review systems, processes, and workflows to identify efficiency improvements and automation opportunities.
• Own internal technology projects from requirements through implementation and ongoing improvement.
• Document requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams and third-party suppliers on enhancements, integrations, implementations, testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Contribute to reporting and data initiatives, including building a central data warehouse from multiple business systems.

Requirements

• Essential: Experience with internal business systems, business applications, and technology projects.
• Essential: Around two to three years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Essential: Ability to gather requirements, engage stakeholders, and convert business needs into clear functional requirements.
• Essential: Understanding of business processes, systems improvement, and project delivery.
• Essential: Experience with data, reporting, or analytical tools and confidence interpreting business information.
• Essential: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, or data analysis is highly advantageous.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, or data integration projects is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to Power BI, Excel, or other reporting and analytical tools is a strong advantage.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or Power Automate.
• Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, or workflow automation.
