Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid role based in Central Nottingham, with 1–2 days per week in the office. Commutable locations include Nottingham, Derby, Burton-upon-Trent, Tamworth, Newark, Lincoln, Loughborough, Mansfield, Leicester, Sheffield, Stoke, Peterborough, Coventry, and Chesterfield.

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 per year plus bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders to identify efficiency improvements and analyse business benefits.
• Elicit and analyse business and system requirements.
• Model, map, document, and improve operational processes.
• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with delivery teams.
• Create use cases, user stories, activity diagrams, storyboards, proof of concepts, and acceptance criteria using MoSCoW.
• Support continuous improvement while monitoring industry trends and emerging technology.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial Business Analyst experience.
• Experience working in professional services, such as finance, insurance, or legal services.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders.
• Experience eliciting and analysing business and system requirements.
• Experience with business process modelling and mapping.
• Experience creating use cases, user stories, activity diagrams, storyboards, proof of concepts, and acceptance criteria using MoSCoW.
• Ability to convert customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
