Network Engineer (Network Engineering, Associate) (Call Manager)

Location: Lexington Park, Maryland, United States; 5 days on-site required. Travel to other sites is required up to 40% as needed.

Salary: $100,847–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, integrate, test, operate, and sustain enterprise voice, video, and data network infrastructure.
• Support Unified Communications and VoIP environments, including Call Manager, voice gateways, SIP, call routing, dial plans, and voice architectures.
• Perform technical planning, requirements analysis, engineering assessments, and modernization support.
• Develop network architectures, technical specifications, implementation plans, diagrams, call-flow diagrams, SOPs, reports, and other engineering documentation.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing, switching, QoS, VLANs, WAN connectivity, VPNs, multicast, network security, latency, jitter, packet loss, and call-quality issues.
• Review engineering products, technical proposals, and Bills of Material; recommend solutions and process improvements.

Requirements

• Current Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret SCI clearance are required; the clearance process considers financial background aspects.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• At least seven years of experience supporting Federal Government, DoD, or Defense Industry network engineering efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university, or equivalent education, certifications, and relevant experience; alternatively, HS/GED with equivalent work experience.
• CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with enterprise network infrastructure, routing, switching, WAN technologies, network security, network design, implementation, testing, and sustainment.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, VoIP, Unified Communications, Call Manager, SIP, voice network architectures, and communications technologies.
• Experience producing technical documentation, engineering reports, and network diagrams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface professionally with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and SharePoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, SIP trunking, voice gateways, call routing, dial plans, and Unified Communications technologies.
• Experience with QoS, VPNs, multicast, and network performance optimization.
• Familiarity with DoD enterprise network infrastructure and communications systems.
• Experience with technical planning, strategic analysis, and system modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of RMF, STIGs, and cybersecurity requirements.
