TL;DR

Senior Business Analyst (Insurance): Defining business and functional requirements for policy administration systems, downstream integrations, and reporting tools with an accent on complex insurance projects, process documentation, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on facilitating requirements approval, planning user acceptance testing, and leading business analysis activities across development and testing teams.

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid workplace with the position based out of the London office

What you will do

Lead requirements definition for complex projects and multi-year strategic initiatives, translating business needs into use cases, process flows, data flows, traceability matrices, and report mock-ups.
Plan and facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, review completed requirements with business users, and secure consensus and final approval.
Build relationships with business units and support functions to understand needs and improve process efficiency and consistency across products.
Collaborate with development and testing teams, provide subject matter expertise, leverage out-of-the-box functionality, and support issue resolution.
Plan and facilitate User Acceptance Testing, including test plans and scripts, and obtain UAT signoff with the business lead and project manager.
Provide direction and leadership to one or more IT Business Analysts.

Requirements

7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in the Commercial Property & Casualty insurance industry.
Extensive experience with policy administration systems.
Experience with Agile Scrum methodology, business analysis methodologies, and business analysis documentation standards.
Hands-on experience writing user stories.
Proven ability to create clear, concise deliverables reflecting business needs and out-of-the-box software functionality.
Experience working and interfacing with business management, including negotiation and presentation skills.

Nice to have

Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Experience with reporting solutions.
