Lead Business Analyst (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid, with attendance at the Bexhill or Leicester office at least once per week and at quarterly departmental events; applicants must live within a 90-minute commuting distance of one of these offices.

What you will do

• Lead business analysis and design across a domain from discovery and requirements through delivery and business readiness.
• Shape and document complex requirements, facilitate workshops, and translate business and user needs into specifications and process designs.
• Coach and mentor Senior Business Analysts, Business Analysts, and Junior Business Analysts while building capability across the BA community.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders, technology teams, and third parties, providing advice and visibility of risks, dependencies, and progress.
• Champion BA standards, methodologies, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and governance requirements to ensure change delivers the intended outcomes for customers and the organisation.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading business analysis across complex projects, programmes, or domains, including requirements elicitation, process modelling, and data analysis.
• Strong experience leading, coaching, and developing Business Analysts at different levels.
• Experience working with senior leaders, technical teams, and third parties, with the ability to influence, challenge, and build trusted relationships.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and solution-thinking skills, including understanding end-to-end impacts and using data and insight to inform decisions.
• Experience working in Agile environments and methodologies such as BDD, Scaled Agile, or Scrum, managing requirements across multiple priorities.
