Business Analyst (Fintech)

Location: London or Essex, United Kingdom; hybrid work with attendance six days per month

What you will do

• Conduct client-facing business analysis and partner with Product Managers, commercial teams, and Agile delivery teams.
• Own end-to-end delivery for assigned initiatives, from requirements discovery and workshops through development, testing, and client validation.
• Translate business needs into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and value-driven solutions balancing client needs, regulatory obligations, and product objectives.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, provide direction to delivery teams, and lead alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage complex risks and issues, resolve business and technical challenges, and contribute to business cases, KPIs, and success metrics.
• Support proxy Product Owner activities, improve Business Analysis practices, and coach other Business Analysts.

Requirements

• Knowledge of BPMN, UML, data modelling, SQL Server, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and software development lifecycle practices in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of industry messaging and data formats including FIX, ISO 15022, ISO 20022, XML, JSON, and CSV.
• Experience or knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development and Gherkin syntax.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application to Business Analysis workflows.
• Understanding of fund distribution roles and actors, fund management company functions, the fund lifecycle, financial products, regulators, and market practice.
• Knowledge of project management, Business Analysis, and problem management processes and techniques.
• Ability to manage complex, high-impact risks and issues and lead initiatives with significant complexity or uncertainty through completion.
• Ability to solve technical and business problems affecting multiple parties, gain agreement, and document outcomes.
• Strong communication, collaboration, planning, ownership, influence, coaching, and consensus-building skills, with the ability to work with limited guidance.
