Financial Crime Data & Automation Analyst (Power Platform)

Location: Hybrid, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the office; Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester or Edinburgh, UK.

Salary: £44,901–£49,890 per year.

What you will do

• Identify operational challenges and deliver optimisation, process redesign, automation and technology-enabled change across Financial Crime operations.
• Design, build and enhance data products, Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows and Dataverse solutions.
• Work with operational teams, change managers, subject matter experts and technology partners to gather requirements and translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Build prototypes and minimum viable products, support solutions from concept through implementation and adoption, and demonstrate business value through performance measures.
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement and digital adoption across Financial Crime operations.

Requirements

• Experience identifying operational challenges and delivering practical improvements through process redesign, automation, data and technology-enabled change.
• Hands-on experience designing and building solutions with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
• Strong experience with Excel, Power Query and Power BI for complex data analysis, reporting and recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience developing prototypes or minimum viable products.
• Ability to understand business needs, gather requirements and collaborate across operational, change and technology teams.
• Experience delivering optimisation, continuous improvement or digital change, balancing priorities and using performance measures and benefits tracking to demonstrate impact.

Nice to have

• Experience in Financial Crime, Fraud, AML, KYC, Risk, Compliance or another regulated environment.
• Experience integrating Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, APIs or Azure.
• Knowledge of DAX, SQL, Python or other analytical and automation technologies.
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, AI-enabled tools or intelligent automation.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma, or relevant Microsoft Power Platform, data, automation or continuous improvement qualifications.
