Data Analyst Apprenticeship - Level 4 - News - London (Excel/Python)

Location: London Broadcasting House; applicants must live within a commutable distance. The role is full-time onsite for an 18-month fixed-term apprenticeship. Applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years and be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the full apprenticeship.

Salary: £24,650 plus £5,441 London Weighting.

What you will do

• Work with real data to uncover trends, solve problems, and support decision-making.
• Collect, analyse, and present data as clear insights.
• Create reports and visualisations that help colleagues understand and act on data.
• Support data solutions built and maintained in Excel, Smartsheet, Power Query, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Learn how data shapes services, projects, and organisational performance while applying data privacy, ethics, and responsible data-use principles.
• Study for a Level 4 Data Analyst qualification with Cambridge Spark, including at least one study day per week through a virtual delivery platform.

Requirements

• Non-graduate status; applicants must not already hold a qualification in the same subject area at the same or higher level.
• At least 18 years old by the apprenticeship start in September 2027.
• Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4/C or above, National 5 at C, or an equivalent qualification.
• Achieved or expected to achieve A Level/Higher Maths by the start of the scheme.
• Must not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme.
• Interest in data, numbers, Excel spreadsheets, maths, and logical thinking.
• Organisational, problem-solving, negotiation, and deadline-management skills.
• Calm, focused, flexible, and adaptable approach, including willingness to work out of hours.
• Interest in the hirify.global, how people consume content, and introducing fresh perspectives.
