Head of Leadership

Location: Hybrid role based at office sites in London, Bristol, Halifax, Leeds or Edinburgh; at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the office.

Salary: £126,523–£148,850 per year.

What you will do

• Set the enterprise-wide leadership strategy and translate Accelerate 2030 into clear priorities, standards and outcomes.
• Define and embed leadership principles, practical habits and non-negotiable standards across leadership practices.
• Connect leadership development with culture, talent, performance, reward, coaching and team effectiveness.
• Build leadership capability in accountability, change leadership, strategic thinking, inclusion, customer focus, digital and AI leadership, and high performance.
• Deliver leadership programmes through governance, measurement and accountability across a complex matrix organisation.
• Strengthen succession planning and measure links between behaviour change, talent, colleague experience, customer outcomes and business performance.

Requirements

• Substantial experience setting and delivering leadership strategy or enterprise-wide leadership transformation in a large, complex organisation.
• Deep expertise in leadership development, behaviour change and organisational systems that shape leader performance.
• Commercial judgement and executive-level credibility, with the ability to connect leadership decisions to business outcomes and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
• Strong record of turning strategy into action through disciplined programme delivery, governance, measurement and accountability.
• Ability to lead through a matrix, connect work across organisational boundaries, mobilise limited resources and deliver through others.

Nice to have

• Experience in management consultancy, leadership advisory or major organisational transformation.
• International experience or work across complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience using technology, data or AI to personalise leadership support, extend reach or measure impact.
