Software Developer (C#)

Location: Hybrid — one day every fortnight in the Bolton office, UK; otherwise working from home

Salary: Up to £50,000; the listing header also states up to £55,000

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain scalable, reliable software solutions.
• Develop clean, efficient and reusable code using engineering best practices.
• Review requirements, technical specifications and solution designs throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Deliver services and applications within a modern microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers and developers in an Agile delivery team.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot defects, maintain technical documentation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Commercial experience developing applications using C#.
• Experience with modern software development practices and principles.
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as Azure.
• For front-end and full-stack development, strong experience with Angular.
• Understanding of APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively, with a proactive willingness to learn and adapt.
• Experience creating clear technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Financial services experience is advantageous but not essential.
