Senior Software Developer / Perl Developer

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using Perl.
• Develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and produce clean, documented code.
• Review code, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks while supporting deployments, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automation.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience developing applications in Perl, including modern Perl frameworks and modules.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, system integrations, and SQL with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience with Git or comparable version control systems and Linux/Unix environments.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Java, or other programming languages.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Experience in regulated or financial services environments.
