Controls SCADA Team Lead (Industrial Material Handling)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. Up to 20% domestic and international travel.

Salary: $80,000–$115,500 per year.

What you will do

• Guide a team of SCADA Controls Engineers and handle scheduling, timecard and time-off approvals, expense reports, and performance management with manager support.
• Lead the design, development, integration, and commissioning of control visualization systems using PLCs.
• Write and debug HMI applications for control systems.
• Conduct in-house emulation testing, troubleshoot issues, and prepare systems for onsite commissioning.
• Support installed systems through preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
• Create and maintain controls SCADA documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a controls-related field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Five or more years of hands-on Controls Engineering experience, preferably in material-handling, industrial, or warehouse environments.
• Robust knowledge of PLC and HMI systems.
• Thorough understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, including the ability to read eDrawings and AutoCAD drawings.
• Prior formal or informal leadership experience.
• Availability for up to 20% domestic and international travel.
