Manager, Accounting (Contract)

Location: Victor, NY, United States. Full-time onsite work five days per week; not eligible for relocation assistance.

Starting base pay: $97,803–$139,719 per year, plus potential additional compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage monthly and quarterly close activities and financial reporting for North American and Americas entities.
• Oversee close processes covering revenue, rebates, royalties, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany accounting.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and operating results.
• Maintain internal controls and SOX processes, including remediation of control deficiencies and completion of required checklists and submissions.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to finance leadership and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate with corporate accounting, consolidations, internal and external auditors, and lead process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting.
• Leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Operational knowledge of SEC reporting, IRS tax reporting, revenue accounting, and consolidations.
• Experience with accounting, internal controls, financial reporting, and SEC reporting.
• Strong time management, written communication, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels and interpret highly technical material.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Consolidations, shared services, and global or international experience.
• Oracle or D365 experience.
• SEC reporting experience.
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, D365, BAAN, Cognos, Crystal Reporting, or Business Objects.
