Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, with candidates based in the UK, Ireland, Germany or the Netherlands; quarterly attendance at the UK headquarters is required.

Salary: £55,000–£70,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build frontend features for Brain, an AI-powered product for comparing employee reward and benefits packages across countries and markets.
• Develop responsive, intuitive and accessible experiences using React, Redux, HTML and CSS.
• Work with Product Managers, UX Designers and Engineers to turn requirements and designs into production features.
• Contribute to UX and technical decisions, tooling and frontend best practices.
• Collaborate with the wider Frontend Chapter to share knowledge and improve engineering standards.
• Apply shift-left practices for testing, quality, accessibility and security.

Requirements

• Frontend development experience with React, Redux, ES6, HTML and CSS.
• Experience working with REST APIs and responsive web design principles.
• Ability to take frontend features from requirements through production.
• Experience working in an Agile methodology.
• Ability to collaborate with product and design teams and contribute during the UX and design phase.
• Ownership, accountability, continuous learning, open-mindedness, clear communication and pragmatic problem-solving.
• Must be based in the UK, Ireland, Germany or the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Redux-Sagas, RsBuild or MSW.
• Experience with XD and Figma.

Hiring process

• Initial informal call with the Talent team.
• 30–45-minute interview with the Engineering Manager, followed by a 60-minute technical interview.
• Final 30–45-minute interview with the VP of Engineering.
