Engineering Manager (Frontend)

Location: France, with London as another location; hybrid workplace

Salary: €80,000–€140,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and responsive user interfaces.
• Optimize frontend performance and deliver smooth user experiences.
• Build solutions for real-time concurrent editing, network disruptions, caching, and a single source of truth.
• Translate functional requirements into simple, elegant designs and high-quality code while addressing product and customer needs.
• Coach up to six direct reports, provide guidance, define expectations, deliver feedback, and create career development plans.
• Participate in performance decisions, salary-raise calibration, and under-performance remediation; optionally lead engineering-structure projects.

Requirements

• Software engineering experience on a product in production, evaluated at a senior level, usually 7–8 years for managers.
• At least 2–3 years of people-management experience.
• Proven experience with frontend technologies including TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, React, Vue, and Angular.
• Strong team spirit, a problem-solving attitude, and a focus on user experience.
• Humility and willingness to grow regardless of seniority.
• Fluent English required; French is not required.
