Frontend Engineer, Pensions Team (React)

Location: Remote globally; work from anywhere

What you will do

• Build and maintain customer-facing pension journeys with React and TypeScript.
• Own frontend features from requirements refinement through release and production monitoring.
• Shape API contracts, application states, and error handling with backend engineers and designers.
• Build complex, multi-step forms for account opening, transfers, and declarations, including the frontend scope of a pension administrator migration.
• Write unit and component tests, release safely behind feature flags, and resolve production issues.
• Establish frontend review and testing practices and onboard the next frontend engineer.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial experience using React and TypeScript as primary tools in a large, long-lived codebase.
• Production experience with a state manager beyond component state, such as Effector, Redux, or similar.
• Strong REST API integration skills, including loading and error states, and experience shaping API contracts with backend engineers.
• Production experience building complex or multi-step forms.
• Daily unit or component testing experience with Jest, React Testing Library, or similar tools.
• Understanding of web accessibility, including semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and ARIA.
• Experience working within documented frontend architecture, clarifying requirements, and owning features through production.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• English at B2+ level and fluent Russian required.

Nice to have

• Backend experience, including commercial or personal projects, or experience building a Backend for Frontend layer.
• Experience planning frontend architecture and breaking work down for other engineers.
• Experience with Effector, Playwright or other end-to-end testing tools, feature flags, and error monitoring tools such as GrowthBook or Sentry.
• React Native experience.
• Fintech or other regulated-industry experience.

Hiring process

• Introductory call with the Talent team.
• Approximately one-hour technical interview with the Frontend team, based on a case discussion with no live coding.
• Gamified cognitive assessment followed by a final conversation with the CTO.
