Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Remote in LATAM, the UK, or the US

Salary: LATAM $85,000–$98,000; UK £85,000–£105,000; US $165,000–$195,000. Equity and bonuses are offered for UK and US roles.

What you will do

• Own the frontend of Observability products, including real-time telemetry dashboards, status views, heatmaps, and streaming time-series charts.
• Build drill-down workflows from entire fleets to individual devices and interfaces.
• Develop interfaces for discovered data, network drift review, and agent fleet management.
• Ship features, improve rendering performance, and establish frontend architecture and engineering practices for large customer networks.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, customer-facing teams, and other engineering teams.
• Review code, mentor teammates, contribute to planning, and help shape the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience, including deep production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Expertise with modern build tooling, especially Vite, and complex multi-application build systems.
• Experience with UI design systems and component libraries.
• Understanding of state management patterns including Zustand, TanStack Query, and Context API in distributed frontend architectures.
• Experience designing frontend CI/CD pipelines, including semantic-release, artifact deployment, and monorepo workflows.
• Proficiency with TailwindCSS v4+ and utility-first CSS methodologies.
• Experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright or similar frameworks, including accessibility testing with a11y, axe-core, and WCAG compliance.
• Comfort with monorepo structures using npm workspaces and cross-package dependency management.
• Daily practical use of AI coding assistants and agents for coding, refactoring, test generation, code review, and documentation.
• Good communication skills, collaborative working ability, and comfort contributing to product, design, and technical decisions in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Type-safe backend integrations using generated Protocol Buffers and OpenAPI clients, shared schemas, and consistent error and authentication handling.
• Hands-on Micro-Frontend Architecture experience with Module Federation, ideally Module Federation 2.0 with Vite.
• Data visualization experience with Recharts, D3, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Authentication and authorization experience with Auth0/OAuth and RBAC in single-page applications.
• Experience in product or SaaS teams, Terraform or infrastructure-as-code, open-source or developer-tooling contributions, performance optimization, and Lighthouse CI budgets.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure concepts such as IP addressing, device management, SNMP, and network discovery.
