Software Development Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid arrangement with telecommuting available up to 3 days per week within the Seattle Metropolitan area, subject to manager approval.

Starting base salary: $144,000–$180,000 per year; equity is part of total compensation.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and full-stack engineers to translate requirements into scalable, high-quality software.
• Design and implement responsive user interfaces for internal and external customers.
• Develop solutions for ambiguous and complex problems using multiple full-stack technologies.
• Participate in code and technical design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications, perform root cause analysis, and implement reliability and performance improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in software design, development, testing, and implementation.
• At least 1 year of frontend development experience for web and native applications.
• At least 1 year of experience with asynchronous programming concepts.
• At least 1 year of experience developing complex user-facing features with TypeScript and React.
• At least 1 year of experience conducting code reviews.
• At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and debugging issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions for application reliability and performance.
• At least 1 year of experience with Apollo GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines, Confluence, DevOps, Git, Go, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Jira, Kotlin, React, React Native, Redux, and RESTful APIs.
