Full-Stack Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; PST or MST working timezone preferred.

Salary: $140,000–$155,000 per year.

A fintech and proptech company developing a home-equity access product for homeowners who need to convert home equity into cash without traditional monthly payments.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and services using Node, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases across a Heroku Connect and Salesforce-based data infrastructure.
• Build and deploy serverless applications with AWS Lambda and infrastructure-as-code platforms including Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Use AI technologies and major AI platform APIs for engineering workflows and new product implementations.
• Integrate backend services with a modern React ecosystem including Next.js, Tailwind, and Vercel.
• Participate in requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, issue resolution, and collaboration with product and QA teams.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with a strong focus on backend technologies.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for frontend and backend development, plus strong experience with Node for server-side applications.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL or a similar database system and database design.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, specifically AWS Lambda, and modern cloud computing pipelines.
• Extensive experience with Claude Code or a similar tool to build tools and workflows that accelerate the development lifecycle, beyond individual chat use or vibe coding.
• Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Experience implementing and using modern analytics tools for event tracking and reporting, such as Mixpanel, PostHog, or Google Analytics.
• Strong experience with testing and quality engineering tools such as Playwright, Jest, and/or Mocha.
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle and proven experience working directly with product and QA teams.
• Ability to break down complex technical problems, deliver high-quality solutions, communicate effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Must be located in the United States.
