Director, Investment Data Product Management (Fintech)

Location: Boston, United States of America; hybrid remote/onsite work environment.

Base salary: $159,500–$240,000 annually, plus eligibility for a competitive incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Serve as Chief Product Owner for Investment Data and translate data technology strategy into an integrated, multi-year roadmap.
• Define capabilities, epics, dependencies, sequencing, capacity considerations, and success measures for sustainable data products.
• Coordinate cross-functional Investment Data technology initiatives across Product, Data, Architecture, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Translate stakeholder needs into outcomes, requirements, adoption goals, and practical definitions of success.
• Ensure data products meet governance, stewardship, quality, reliability, timeliness, and operational-efficiency expectations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of data product owners while fostering accountability and collaboration.

Requirements

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position is not eligible for sponsorship.
• 15+ years of experience in asset management, financial services, or another data-intensive and highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Significant experience leading data products, enterprise data platforms, or technology-enabled transformation in a complex organization.
• Strong product management and agile delivery experience across strategic and execution levels.
• Experience directly managing, coaching, and developing Product Owners, Product Managers, or similar professionals.
• Strong technical fluency in enterprise data platforms, models, and tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft Azure, or comparable technologies.
• Strong understanding of modern data engineering, governance, quality, lineage, APIs, analytics, and trusted enterprise data for AI and advanced analytics.
• Ability to build alignment across business, Product, Data, Architecture, and Engineering, communicate complex decisions clearly, and lead effectively through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with investment management data, including security and issuer data, holdings, transactions, benchmarks, market data, performance, risk, analytics, and client data.
• Advanced degree, CFA, and/or relevant professional qualifications.
• Familiarity with relevant governance, analytics, and delivery platforms.
