VP of Product (AI)

Location: Remote, Oregon, United States; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: USD 280,000–290,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead AI-driven innovation and build a network of AI champions across functions and business units.
• Identify, prioritize, design, and measure AI-native automation for high-volume processes across support, onboarding, finance, HR, sales operations, engineering, and back office.
• Define the operating model, registry, lifecycle controls, monitoring, security, access management, budgets, and governance for large-scale agent and workflow deployment.
• Build and monetize data-as-a-service products including benchmarks, forecasts, risk signals, recommendations, APIs, dashboards, and premium packages.
• Partner with Data Engineering to establish AI-ready data foundations and launch products from validation through go-to-market and customer success.
• Embed privacy, security, consent, anonymization, compliance, PCI DSS, GDPR, UK GDPR, and regional data protection requirements into data products and internal automations.

Requirements

• 12+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years leading product leaders in B2B SaaS or vertical software.
• Track record of taking data, AI, or ML products to market and demonstrating revenue impact beyond pilots.
• Hands-on AI-native product building experience, including AI coding tools, agent tools, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Experience building evaluation sets, setting quality thresholds, and monitoring AI products in production.
• Experience with pricing and packaging AI features, usage-based models, and inference cost trade-offs.
• Working knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, agents, retrieval, and evaluation, with the ability to challenge engineers and explain trade-offs to executives.
• Strong grounding in data quality, governance, privacy, and AI-ready data foundations, plus experience with responsible AI and regulatory frameworks across multiple regions.
• Ability to lead through influence in a multi-business-unit or federated organization and communicate clearly with executives and boards.

Nice to have

• Experience in product, strategy, consulting, or venture roles sizing AI opportunities.
• Experience establishing an AI center of excellence or central pod model.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 42001 or the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
