Senior Director, AI Platform (Product Management)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; hybrid

Base salary: USD 290,000–360,000 per year; variable compensation, bonus, and equity may also be available.

What you will do

• Define and execute the AI agent platform strategy and roadmap across agent studios, natural-language builders, agentic workflows, and shared runtimes.
• Own the product vision for agent authoring, reusable skills and workflow libraries, runtime routing, and proactive capabilities.
• Establish standards for agent interoperability, integrations, identity, safety guardrails, and enterprise security.
• Build quality and lifecycle infrastructure covering evaluation, testing, telemetry, model training, routing, and token and inference cost optimization.
• Shape knowledge curation, real-time retrieval, memory, state management, and context-window optimization, while driving shared digital workers from concept to adoption.
• Lead product managers, set quarterly OKRs, align priorities with executives, and partner with engineering, forward-deployed, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• 15–20 years of progressive product management experience, including significant leadership defining platform architectures, developer platforms, or AI/ML systems at scale.
• Experience translating complex AI advances into product visions, functional charters, roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes.
• Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, and developing product managers while fostering cross-functional alignment.
• Experience establishing disciplined operating rhythms, evaluation metrics, accountability, platform reliability, and delivery excellence.
• Strong customer focus, with the ability to identify enterprise friction and turn user feedback into platform-level solutions.
• Deep technical understanding of LLMs, multi-agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, model routing, inference economics, and agent safety protocols.

Nice to have

• Experience building and scaling developer-facing platforms, workflow automation engines, or multi-tenant B2B SaaS architectures.
• Active involvement in open-source AI initiatives, agent protocols such as MCP, or emerging agentic standards bodies.
