VP Product Management, Intelligent Data Layer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Fort Mill/Charlotte, New York, or Austin, United States

Salary: $135,960–$226,600 base salary per year

What you will do

• Own the Intelligent Data Layer product strategy, roadmap, priorities, investment decisions, and full product lifecycle.
• Lead reusable data products, semantic models, shared business definitions, knowledge assets, enterprise search, knowledge graphs, RAG, and GraphRAG capabilities.
• Partner with engineering, data science, AI application, and business teams to deliver production-oriented use cases from source information through application consumption.
• Define product quality and AI evaluation measures covering retrieval relevance, answer grounding, data accuracy, freshness, permissions, traceability, reliability, adoption, latency, and operating cost.
• Establish governance and ownership models for shared definitions, semantic models, data products, and knowledge assets.
• Hire, develop, and lead product managers while coordinating delivery commitments, cross-functional dependencies, and roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant product management experience, including enterprise data products and production AI capabilities.
• Experience leading product teams and delivering products across engineering, data science, and business organizations.
• Experience taking data or retrieval products into production, supporting multiple consumers, and improving performance after launch.
• Working knowledge of semantic modeling, knowledge graphs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI evaluation methods.
• Experience making product investment, build-versus-buy, and technical tradeoff decisions.

Nice to have

• Ability to resolve competing business requirements and communicate product decisions to technical teams and senior leaders.
• Financial services or other regulated-industry experience.
