Advanced Packaging Engineer (Packaging Design)

Location: Hybrid schedule with onsite work at least 4 days per week at the hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, United States. May include up to 20% domestic and international travel. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Expected compensation: $95,591–$116,834 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Provide package engineering services through packaging design, development, and scale-up based on customer requirements.
• Organize testing, evaluation, presentation, and recommendations for existing and new package designs.
• Investigate opportunities to reduce packaging material costs and improve process efficiency.
• Evaluate packaging options to improve sustainability and circularity of packaging components.
• Support the growth and continued success of multiple product lines and business groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, completed and verified before starting.
• At least 2 years of package engineering or package design experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment visa status, including H-1B.
• Must work onsite at least 4 days per week in Maplewood, Minnesota.

Nice to have

• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Packaging design and development experience, preferably in manufacturing or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with computer-aided design software and relevant tools.
• Problem-solving, attention to detail, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of packaging regulations and certifications such as FDA, ISO, or ISTA.
• Familiarity with sustainability practices in packaging design.
• Project management skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Continuous learning and awareness of industry advancements and best practices.
