Sr Business Systems Analyst

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; flexible work schedules include work-from-home options.

Salary: $92,900–$179,700 annually, varying by work location and job-related factors.

What you will do

• Lead collaboration across product management, users, stakeholders, software engineering, and delivery teams to define complex business, data, and product requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, process flow diagrams, and test plans.
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions and documentation reviews with product management, users, and product teams.
• Assess risks and impacts of changes across systems, integrations, processes, users, UI/UX, and architecture, and advise on mitigation.
• Lead root cause analysis of data and process issues and propose improvements.
• Partner with the Product Manager on strategy, vision, and market demands while mentoring business systems analysts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of business analysis experience, including management of complex and large-scale projects.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders, manage expectations, and translate strategic needs into actionable requirements.
• Experience leading end-to-end business requirements development and documentation for complex efforts.
• Ability to align requirements with business strategy, identify opportunities, and support value creation.
• Strong data analysis, communication, collaboration, conflict management, and consensus-building skills.
• Experience identifying and championing process improvements.
• Empathy, active listening, and a people-first approach to decision-making.
• BS preferred in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field; relevant professional experience is accepted instead.

Nice to have

• Expert understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Proficiency with Salesforce, SQL, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority efforts concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar certification.
