Business Systems Analyst II

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be US based and able to comply with company policies such as HIPAA.

What you will do

• Gather, interpret, and document business and functional requirements, including data discovery and analysis.
• Lead requirements analysis, process mapping, gap analysis, risk assessment, and impact assessment for system enhancements and new solutions.
• Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents and detailed process flows.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and support roadmap execution.
• Generate analytical reports, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making, process automation, and data optimization.
• Support project management activities and mentor entry-level analysts while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a related technical or analytical role.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management and prioritization.
• 2+ years of quality assurance experience, including test planning, test design, and execution.
• Ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership, with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience working in deadline-driven environments, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and complete assignments within established parameters and standard practices.
• Must be US based and able to work securely in compliance with company policies such as HIPAA.

Nice to have

• Business Systems Analyst experience in data engineering or analytics-focused environments.
• Understanding of healthcare data types, sources, and transformation processes.
• Experience with Databricks, Python, and data ingestion mechanisms such as APIs, SFTPs, JSON, and flat files.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience facilitating or supporting quality assurance processes.
