Solutions Architect (Cloud)

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex solution architectures across application, data, integration, and cloud domains.
• Produce and maintain architecture blueprints, solution design documents, and architecture decision records.
• Apply Azure and Google Cloud reference architectures, patterns, and standards while guiding engineering, platform, and delivery teams.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical risk assessments, audits, due diligence, proof-of-concept initiatives, and technology recommendations.
• Translate strategic business objectives into technical strategies, explain architectural trade-offs, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to enterprise architecture governance, processes, and practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable industry experience.
• Professional certifications including Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience leading multiple non-trivial systems end-to-end at enterprise scale, including at least one greenfield and one brownfield engagement, with documented decisions and measured outcomes.
• Extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, with proven multi-cloud expertise.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native compute, storage, networking, databases, integration patterns, hybrid connectivity, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, DevOps, and modern software delivery.
• Practical experience with cloud migration, hybrid cloud architecture, application and data architecture, API design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud networking.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methods, including TOGAF or similar approaches, C4 modelling, Architecture Decision Records, value stream and capability mapping, event storming, Domain-Driven Design, fitness functions, evolutionary architecture, and Team Topologies.
• Expertise in scalability, performance, resilience, disaster recovery, security by design, solution costing, TCO analysis, business cases, governance, risk, compliance, and ITIL.
• Experience mentoring and coaching technical staff, influencing senior stakeholders and C-level executives, and presenting architectural proposals to diverse audiences.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required for global collaboration and architectural documentation.

Nice to have

• Certifications in cybersecurity, data management, integration technologies, software development, or related areas.
• TOGAF certification.
• Familiarity with commercial real estate technology, including property management systems, valuation platforms, capital markets technology, and workplace or IWMS platforms.
• Experience as an embedded architect in product teams during a transition to a product-based operating model.
• Fluency in Spanish is desirable for day-to-day collaboration with local colleagues and stakeholders.
