Platform Technical Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Madrid, with office attendance at Pozuelo de Alarcón

What you will do

• Define, maintain, and advocate for the platform technical roadmap in alignment with IT strategy and architecture vision.
• Advise the Product Owner and Business Units during product ideation and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Lead architectural decisions, evaluate new technologies, and coordinate technical dependencies with Architecture and other IT areas.
• Promote software quality, test and implementation automation, code reviews, pair programming, and agile practices.
• Manage technical debt and non-functional requirements including security, backup, performance, monitoring, scalability, and resilience.
• Mentor development and operations teams, guide incident resolution, support professional growth, and lead the technical lead forum.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Strategic mindset and leadership skills to drive a platform technical roadmap and lead teams.
• Deep technical knowledge of the platform domain and the ability to make short- and long-term decisions affecting applications and components.
• Strong experience defining and governing modern distributed architectures based on Domain-Driven Design, ideally with Java/Spring Boot microservices, SQL and NoSQL persistence including MongoDB, and event-driven integration using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience establishing architectural standards for scalability, resilience, maintainability, and long-term evolution.
• Solid software development experience, ideally including hands-on development and the ability to assess technical designs, architectures, and code quality.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or LeSS, including work with distributed or remote teams.
• Knowledge of managing non-functional requirements covering security, scalability, performance, monitoring, and backup.
• Experience optimizing software development environments through AI, including piloting or initiating SDLC management with AI agents.
• Proven experience driving adoption of AI-powered agents such as GitHub Copilot and Claude across the software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication, leadership, critical-thinking, problem-solving, self-organization, initiative, service orientation, continuous-improvement mindset, and teamwork.
