R&D Project Manager (Power Generation)

What you will do

• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, changes, quality, and deliverables for complex generator R&D and customer projects.
• Lead projects through the full Product Development Process from initiation to closure.
• Develop and control project plans using Microsoft Project and coordinate resource allocations.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, product management, and technical functions.
• Act as the primary project contact, represent projects in controlling and pipelining meetings, provide leadership updates, and negotiate resources.
• Coach project teams and provide technical and analytical guidance for complex problem resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in R&D or heavy engineering environments such as turbomachinery or power generation.
• Experience with project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, documentation, resource allocation, and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Experience with risk management, change management, and risk mitigation.
• Strong influencing, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization is required. Current hirify.global employees with visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
• Applicants with more experience may be considered for a higher level and vice versa.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
