Senior Project Manager (BESS)

Location: On-site in the United States, flexible within Texas; travel to project, supplier, utility, and partner locations is required as needed.

What you will do

• Lead the execution of battery energy storage systems, power conversion systems, transformers, controls, fire protection, balance-of-plant, grid interconnection, telemetry, and gas-plant interfaces.
• Develop and maintain execution plans, governance structures, integrated schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk registers, change logs, and performance dashboards.
• Define scopes of work and support RFPs, bidder evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and execution readiness.
• Represent the owner while coordinating EPC contractors, OEMs, engineering firms, utilities, suppliers, authorities, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee design reviews, constructability, value engineering, contractor performance, site readiness, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover to Operations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and lead status reviews, risk mitigation, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 10 or more years of major-project experience, including significant responsibility for BESS, power generation, substations, or complex electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of project execution, contracts, schedules, budgets, risk, quality, safety, and project documentation.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and resolve complex technical, commercial, and execution issues.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant project systems; ability to travel as required.
