NPD Engineering Project Manager II

What you will do

• Lead new product development projects by creating schedules, building development plans, and integrating cross-functional activities.
• Translate product requirements into project scope, design requirements, and product realization plans.
• Execute multiple large and complex projects while meeting schedule, cost, scope, quality, and product lifecycle cost commitments.
• Define project risks, mitigation plans, contingency assessments, and implementation decisions.
• Coordinate engineering, product management, manufacturing, supply chain, service, marketing, quality, IT, finance, and other functions.
• Drive improvements to the hirify.global Development Process, NPI phase/gate process, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in engineering, project engineering, or brand/product management for equipment, machinery, or other powered products, including at least 5 years of project management experience in product development for industrial or commercial equipment, machinery, or other powered products.
• Advanced ability to deliver results across multiple simultaneous projects while balancing resources, timing, and quality.
• Advanced ability to transform product requirements into product design and realization plans that meet product and business goals.
• Ability to influence people and teams who are not all direct reports, with advanced team-building and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service, customer service, finance, sales, and marketing as they relate to product design and development.
• Advanced communication skills; self-driven, highly motivated, flexible, and able to learn quickly.
• Ability to perform regular standing, walking, talking, hearing, and computer-based work; occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional travel are required.

• Project management experience with cross-functional teams, including full-system product releases.
