Senior IC Design Engineer (CMOS/BCD)

What you will do

• Own the implementation of technical requirements for logic and switch family products through study, concept, design, validation, and qualification.
• Lead cross-functional teams spanning design engineering, product engineering, test engineering, and product quality engineering.
• Develop master designs and derivative functions, set product specifications, verify full-chip functionality, and agree test limits with the product manager and test engineer.
• Design integrated circuits using 0.5um to 0.18um CMOS and BCD wafer processes and develop products in plastic packages with Cu-wire bond wiring.
• Design, optimize, simulate, floor-plan, and lay out blocks and top-level ICs using Synopsys and Cadence tools.
• Implement ESD-robust solutions, perform TLP characterization with the ESD expert, manage design risks, and achieve first-time-right designs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and circuit design.
• Understanding of semiconductor device physics and device characteristics.
• Experience with standard CMOS or BCD technologies.
• Knowledge of ESD mechanisms and ESD circuit protection techniques.
• Experience with analog EDA tools and simulation techniques.
• Analytical skills and the ability to apply pragmatic approaches.
• Good written and spoken English is required.
• Team-oriented, target-driven, proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently.
