Senior Process Development Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Geleen, Limburg, Netherlands

Salary: €69,040–€103,560 per year; eligible for the hirify.global Incentive Plan short-term incentive.

What you will do

• Design and develop production processes for advanced medical devices, translating product requirements into robust process outputs.
• Define process inputs, settings, and equipment requirements.
• Characterize and validate processes by analyzing input-output relationships and establishing effective process controls.
• Optimize manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma, with emphasis on cost efficiency and consistency.
• Assess manufacturability through prototype builds and provide structured feedback to product design teams.
• Work hands-on with automated technologies including laser cutting, laser welding, assembly, and optical measurement systems across product maturity stages through market launch.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, applied physics, industrial automation, or chemical engineering, plus 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Mastery of Dutch and English is required.
• Hands-on mentality and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma qualification at Green Belt or Black Belt level.
• Experience with process validation aligned with ISO 13485 requirements.
