Senior Principal Design Engineer (IC Design)

What you will do

• Own technical requirements for logic and switch families and develop complete integrated-circuit and plastic-package products.
• Lead cross-functional teams through study, concept, design, validation and qualification phases.
• Drive full-chip design, family specifications, verification and top-level layout for required packages.
• Assess CMOS and BCD technologies, technology options and devices for new families, die shrinks and redesigns.
• Develop circuit techniques, circuit blocks, family-specific I/O cells and ESD cells, working with ESD experts on protection strategies.
• Design products for high-volume production and testing, automotive quality, -40°C to 125°C operation, 0.6V to 15V voltages and 4- to 24-pin plastic packages with Cu-wire bonding.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and circuit design.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics and device characteristics.
• Experience with standard CMOS or BCD technologies.
• Knowledge and experience with ESD mechanisms and ESD circuit protection techniques.
• Extensive experience with analog EDA tools and simulation techniques, including Cadence or Synopsys.
• Hands-on experience with characterization and laboratory equipment.
• Good written and spoken English.
