Senior Design & Proposal Engineer Marine & Offshore

Location: Kolham and/or Gorinchem, Netherlands; work-from-home arrangement available

What you will do

• Analyze customer needs and translate requirements into functional concept designs, technical specifications, budgets, and quotations.
• Act as the technical force behind the sales team and maintain customer contacts during quotation development and commercial negotiations.
• Support the sale of complete electrical installations, complex technical systems, and products for ships.
• Determine the delivery strategy with the Manager Design & Proposal and ensure accurate, timely proposals.
• Calculate reliable cost prices, compile complete quotation files, and transfer confirmed orders smoothly to the project team.
• Select suppliers and subcontractors and initiate improvements to processes, standard calculations, and calculation tools.

Requirements

• Higher professional education (HBO) and corresponding intellectual and professional level.
• More than 5 years of engineering experience, enabling independent work after a brief introduction period.
• Good spoken and written command of Dutch and English.
• Experience in electrical engineering or education in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Experience in energy transition is preferred.
• Experience with systems in the maritime sector is preferred.
