Software Engineer II (C++)

Location: Hybrid, with the primary workplace at the office in Danderyd, Sweden; live broadcast tests and on-site QA at golf tournaments require about 10% travel.

What you will do

• Design and deliver medium-complexity features from requirements through production, including estimates and architectural decisions.
• Own component reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident response, and runbooks; participate in the on-call rotation.
• Run live broadcast tests independently and support on-site QA at golf tournaments.
• Improve test coverage, CI, and team engineering practices across the Broadcast Suite.
• Review code, coach and onboard engineers, and share technical knowledge.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and patent attorneys on invention disclosures when relevant.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production software components.
• 2+ years using C++, C#, and Python as primary programming languages.
• 2+ years of Windows application development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.
• Good judgment regarding quality and performance when live production is affected.
• Desire to continuously learn and improve.

Nice to have

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Linux application development, cloud development, or tracking- or physics-related software experience.
• Graphics programming with Vulkan, DirectX, OpenGL, CUDA, or GPU compute.
• Messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, NATS, or Azure Service Bus.
• Computer vision, image processing, OpenCV, or tracking systems experience.
