Senior Python Developer (Java, AWS)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python backend services and AWS cloud applications.
• Build REST APIs, microservices, data flows, and integrations connecting vehicle data, EV charging networks, service providers, and customer platforms.
• Translate product requirements and partner use cases into secure, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, API design, application security, reliability, and operational readiness.
• Implement automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product stakeholders, and external technology partners while supporting production transition and broader business adoption.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in backend software development.
• Excellent Python programming skills; Python is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable backend architectures, API integrations, data processing, and cloud-based services.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Understanding of application security, reliability, and production environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take ownership, work independently, and contribute effectively within a small engineering team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java.
• Experience with EV charging platforms and charging infrastructure.
• Knowledge of EV charging and roaming standards such as OCPI.
• Experience with vehicle telematics, connected vehicle technologies, connected mobility ecosystems, and digital vehicle services.
• Experience integrating systems across multiple organizations and external service providers.
• Experience working with international teams and external technology partners.
