Backend Programmer (Apex Connect)

Location: Stockholm, Sweden; hybrid work with office attendance required on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain high-performance, player-facing backend services supporting millions of active players.
• Lead the integration between Apex Connect and theHunter: Call of the Wild.
• Design and build the next generation of backend services, primarily using Go.
• Own core backend domains and contribute to long-term architectural roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers, DevOps, backend developers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional backend programming experience.
• Strong backend programming knowledge in Go, Python, and C#.
• Extensive experience with storage technologies such as MySQL, NoSQL, Redis, or Memcache.
• Extensive experience running services in commercial clouds or Kubernetes.
• Strong technical excellence, functionality, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English.

Nice to have

• Experience in the video game industry.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and C++.
• Previous experience with high-availability solutions.
• Passion for gaming.
