Software Engineering Specialist (Knowledge Graph)

Location: Malmö, Sweden; presence with the team and working the majority of the time in the workplace are expected.

What you will do

• Build, maintain and improve knowledge graph solutions for connected, high-quality product data.
• Translate ontology models into scalable runtime graph implementations that support business needs.
• Collaborate with ontology modellers, data engineers and business experts on reasoning logic, inferencing capabilities and data pipelines.
• Partner with the central hirify.global Knowledge Graph team and Inter hirify.global stakeholders to align standards, ways of working and technical solutions.
• Develop, test and maintain reliable, scalable, production-ready software while promoting CI/CD, automated testing and agile practices.
• Explore technologies and architectural patterns, contribute to solution design and prototyping, document solutions and share knowledge across teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, combined with extensive hands-on software development experience.
• Solid experience with semantic technologies and knowledge graph development in production environments.
• Experience using ontology modelling standards including RDFS, OWL, SHACL and SKOS to create, maintain and validate semantic models and controlled vocabularies.
• Ability to develop and manage RDF-based knowledge graphs with modelling tools such as Metaphactory, including adapting and extending solutions for business needs.
• Experience with graph databases such as RDFox and graph-based data models for scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Ability to design and optimise SPARQL queries and rule-based logic for data retrieval, inferencing and reasoning.
• Ability to ensure performance, scalability and maintainability through continuous optimisation, software engineering principles, architectural thinking and design patterns.
• Experience collaborating in agile, cross-functional product teams using DevOps practices and modern software engineering approaches.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, share expertise and contribute as a specialist.

• Experience working across multiple teams or capability areas as a specialist or subject matter expert.
