Backend Developer (Crypto Payments)

Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere in the world. Stockholm, Sweden is listed as a company location.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend systems for crypto payments using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Improve existing services and backend systems with a focus on high availability, low latency, and scalability.
• Implement integrations with suppliers and third-party APIs.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend developers, designers, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, primarily with Node.js/TypeScript and/or Python, plus MongoDB and Typesense.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms or similar products.
• Ability to make technical decisions and mentor junior developers.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Curiosity about how AI is changing programming and willingness to use AI-augmented workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Apache Lucene, Solr, or similar.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing internal search for e-commerce platforms and internal tools.
